When two planets in one’s astrological chart are in the sign of the other, the two planets are said to be in mutual reception. For instance when Saturn, the ruler of Capricorn was in Scorpio for two and a half years and Pluto, the ruling planet of Scorpio was in Capricorn (and still is until 2023) Saturn and Pluto are said to be in Mutual Reception. The planets become like twins that are there to aid and abet one another.
Neptune in the 2nd House is in mutual reception to Mercury in the 8th House. This natal aspect enhances the power and impact of both planets in the two houses. In this case, the financial rewards for the “native” in this instance is far greater than it would be without the benefit of Mutual Reception.
