The Signs of the Time–Someone asked that I talk about the Upper World versus the one we struggle in, the Lower World. The division between High and Low started with a revolt in heaven when the Dark Side (Satan) told the Light Side (God) he/she/it wanted to be God, in other words, to put out the Light so Darkness could rule the Whole Thing. God refused and the Devil decided to leave the Upper World, known to many as the Kingdom of Heaven. And all of us who came under the influence of Darkness chose to leave with the Lord of Darkness. But before we left, God installed a tiny Light Chip inside of us that would be like a homing device that when we wanted to come back to the Light out of frustration and having had enough of the Pleasure Chest of the Lord of Darkness we could return to God. This Exodus came to be known as Fallen Angels.
We all come from the Upper World but because Darkness was created by God in order to give his Creations choice, biblically we are told that Man chooses Darkness rather than Light.

For those of you who have learned to live life on life’s terms (not as easy as you might think–try it–your whole life will shift into God’s will quicker than a refi to save you from over-spending disaster!), this month suggests that the celestial influences are tough as nails. You may feel the sensation of being pig-headed and too old to change your ways. Just watch the nature of Taurus to goad you into being more patient and reliable as well as practical. But the overlay from the Upper World may cause you to be a bit lazy and lackadaisical. You may find you overeat and blow off your exercise more often.
There will be a Full Moon at 13 degrees of Scorpio on May 3. Besides the endings of key situations for Scorpios and Pisces, a full moon can cause all of us to feel a bit nuts and unhinged. Studies show that there are more off-kilter happenings to endure. Never start a new job or try to leave one at this time. One’s capacity for clear and conscious reasoning will be affected.
There will be a New Moon at 26 degrees of Taurus on May 17. These will be happy days especially for Taurus, but also for other earth signs, Virgo and Capricorn as well as water signs, Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces. And wouldn’t you know it Mercury goes retrograde on May 18 at 13 degrees of Gemini. Gemini is the house of communication. When Mercury goes retrograde in this house a sort of fluid situation is reached where all hell breaks loose in matters of communication. All judgments made during this time would be vague and unclear. Frustrations creep in as all ambitions and plans are put to the back burner. Those more likely to suffer are those directly dealing with people like salespersons, lawyers, advisors and consultants. This is a good time to take a vacation or go in for a massage or a time to chill out with friends. Mercury goes direct on June 12.
Fire Signs
ARIES (March 20 – April 19)–With that New Moon at 28 degrees of Aries on April 18 I am sure you Warriors of the Light are continuing to make your mark in the world. With Mercury and Venus in great aspect to Aries, and with Uranus still causing upset everywhere it can, you must be beating your chest or breast with the sounds of invincibility. With the tempering of that Lunar Eclipse Full Moon on April 4 for Aries, perhaps your demeanor is more subdued and you have developed an attitude of “it’s all about all of us, not just all about me.”
LEO (July 22 – August 22)–Continue to enjoy the transit of Jupiter in Leo until August 11 when Jupiter moves into Virgo for a year. But the Sun rules Leo, which means that the Sun in Taurus is squaring your royal mien that is loaded with cautions for you lions and lionesses. Just when you think it is all systems go, the Stock Market will upset your bottom line with its downward spiral. People won’t bow as you pass and a vacation may hit a sandbar as you sail. Since I have Leo ascending I am going to read a lot of books and listen more than I talk. When the Stars seem to be aligned against you is the best time to learn a few of life’s lessons, not necessarily a bitter pill to swallow.
SAGITTARIUS (November 22 – December 20)–How does it feel to have to put up with Saturn in your sign–teaching you, refining you and, yes, making you crazier than a Mad Hatter. You may be feeling that your passport to roam anywhere has not been renewed. This may be the time to stay put and learn what the Universe is trying to teach you. By the way, your ruling planet, Jupiter, is about to go into Virgo for a year. Prissy and precise Virgins are not friends to you Archers. Get ready to learn a few new tricks as the School of Life is in session and you are its prime pupil.
Earth Signs
TAURUS (April 20 – May 20)–Venus, the ruler for all you Bulls, will be in yo-yo mode until May 8. Then Venus sidles into Cancer, which is one of Taurus’ most compatible signs. Compatibility or Difficult aspects determine when there will be sunshine or gloom during the period of time a planet is in a particular sign. After May 8 all systems are go for Taurus. It doesn’t mean that you will score big in the casino or win a zillion dollar lottery. What it means is if you are within the letter of the law and remember to ask three people, “What can I do for you?” this period of time will treat you very well.
VIRGO (August 23 – September 22)–Girls and boys born between late August through most of September must face the music this month. Both Venus and Mercury are in an incompatible sign–Gemini–for you most of this Solar Cycle. And on top of all of these groans and moans Mercury, your ruling planet will go retrograde on May 18 and will continue retrograde until June 12. All is not lost, however, because no one can crawl into their lair and make changes they don’t like quite like a Virgo. As you are warned often these aspects ask that you cease and desist from so much nag and bitch and bite. Take a yoga class. Your day will come soon enough.
CAPRICORN (December 21 – January 19)–This is one of the best Solar Cycles of the year for you. The sky gods determine how we make our amends and change our lives in alignment with the Creator who made us. This happens to be one of those in synch times. We can never leave you alone about Pluto in Capricorn until March 24, 2023. Pluto takes eons to refine and tune and calibrate your energies, so Pluto works like water dripping on rocks to create the Grand Canyon.
Air Signs
GEMINI (May 21 – June 20)–The gods are conspiring to help you out this Solar Cycle. Your ruler Mercury will be in Gemini from May 1 but unfortunately goes retrograde on May 19. The Universe will give you almost three weeks to make right choices in work and play. And Venus will be in Gemini throughout the Taurus Sun Cycle until May 8. Saturn the taskmaster and heavy-handed planet will be in your opposing sign, Sagittarius, albeit, retrograde until August 2. When you factor in the nefarious manipulation that goes on daily in politics and Wall Street, always begin your day in prayer and meditation to keep you out of harm’s way of delusion and self-pity.
LIBRA (September 23 – October 22)–Since Mercury and Venus will be in the favorable sign of Taurus this month, it is time to sign those papers, settle a dispute and if a relationship is really over, let it go and move on. Always remember that Pluto will be in a square position to Libra for another umpteen years, so forewarned is forearmed. No sign is fairer and more balanced than you, but you also are known to take forever to make up your mind. There is a surprise for you around the 10th of May. Consider whether or not the offer is in your best interest.
AQUARIUS (January 20 – February 17)–Don’t let your restlessness get the best of you this month. Taurus and Aquarius square one another. Taurus has its feet firmly planted on terra firms; Aquarians have their heads in the clouds listening for the next right thing to do or places to go. Your ruling planet, Uranus continues to aid and abet your life’s purpose because it is in league with what you are trying to do. And Mercury and Venus are in Gemini, another of your compatible signs.
Water Signs
CANCER (June 21 – July 21)–We are entering one of the best Solar Cycles for you Crabs. Taurus and Cancer are astrological soul mates who always seem to enjoy the company of the other. However, the moon changes signs every two and a half days so there are times every month that you’ll feel out of sorts. Life on earth is an opportunity to clear up old karma from past lives. Cancer by nature is too controlling and rides an emotional rollercoaster as if they were at an amusement park. But Cancer is also loving and caring about all people. No sign needs to recognize their negative effect on others quite like Cancer. But this month is smoother sailing.
SCORPIO (October 23 – November 21)–You have learned by now that all signs learn more from their opposition than from any other sign of the Zodiac. Yours, as you probably know, is Taurus. You are a magician while Taurus is a realist. Make a Scorpio mad and he will plot and plan your demise behind your back. Stir up a Taurus and he will slam the door in your face and lock you out from his side. What you have learned, or should have, from Saturn in Scorpio for two and a half years is to be upfront and direct–open-faced–to someone you need to get clear with. This is the perfect time to say what you mean and mean what you say. Quietly. Softly.
PISCES (February 18 – March 19)–Linda Goodman who wrote Love Signs oftentimes referred to Pisces as the “dustbin of the Zodiac.” Nostradamus supposedly thought Pisceans were blessed by the gods because they create music and art–inspirations for all to enjoy. With Neptune in Pisces for a lot more years it behooves all Fish to take heart and pick up the pen or paint brush or modeling clay. Some of us feel that Pisces is in its third Renaissance because the urge to create is particularly strong at this time of year. Start small or think bigger. Continue to silence naysayers about your gift and let the rest of the world roll by.

Marc Viafora was with the Sedona Intensive as our Network Chiropractor for more than 30 years. He was loved and cherished by every one of our clients he adjusted. He will be sorely missed and we will never forget the great part he played in the Sedona Intensive support staff.

The Light Foundation Scholarship Fund threw a fancy dinner to celebrate my 35th AA Anniversary. 70 friends, family and clients gathered in the Monet Ballroom at L’Auberge de Sedona for a delicious dinner and the most scrumptious cake designed by Andrea at Cake Couture. The whole toxic environment which spawned the addict is overlaid with blame and shame. Your Ego Listens When Reason Speaks…And Here’s What Happens
As the myth goes, God created man out of thin air and then Eve popped out of his rib. And just when they were getting to know one another, Eve asked Adam to bite her apple. Then along came the snake. The apple and the snake are a carnival act–they are Frick and Frack in collusion. Make what you will of the yarn, but my Sherlock Holmes intuition tells me to find the truth of the matter in close examination of the apple and the creepy crawler. What Dr. Watson and I came up with was this. The apple of course is temptation. Bite it and you pay a huge price–entrapment. The snake is a doppelganger that represents the Ego, that nefarious shadow- self who always wants us to stay ensnared and beholden to his pleasure chest: food, booze, more, self, manipulation and control. Well, I could go on forever. I could stay with the vivisection of the birth and eons of treachery of the ego from the Garden of Eve to the present. But I won’t. What I will do is to tell you that each of us has an Ego, and although venerated by some like Freud, I feel it has to be dealt with. And the dealing is where I am taking you.
