The Signs of the Time — This may be the most trying and hard to swallow time in recent American history. Not only has the coronavirus been around for more than a year according to scientists but it seems that it will be around another year, give or take a few months. I recall that scripture when I was a lad, “Man was not meant to live by bread alone.” And also I recall another scriptural bright light, “For the love of money is the root of all evil.” But do you think anybody is paying attention to anything but the accumulation of their own selfish needs? Forty million people are going to be experiencing a gnashing of teeth and having to accept that this is a country for all races, creeds and cultures. The 1% has run its course. Now we rebuild with all of us in the mix for solutions.
Mercury will be retrograde from October 15 until November 3, Election Day. There will be a lot of hoopla and name-calling from all sides. The election will be decided in a matter of days–not several months as the losing side would like. Evangelists will need to go back to their holy word and make a lot of amends for their bad boy and bad girl behavior. Presidents will be required not to Twitter or litter their lies and deceptions. Mars will remain retrograde in Aries until November 14. Uranus in Taurus and Neptune in Pisces will remain retrograde through this Solar period as well. Tell your kids and grandkids alike that we are going to be in a period of Reconstruction and Institutional Corrections.
The best investment that I have ever made…
“I met Albert in late 1991 when my life was a mess and I did not know what to do. I went for an astrology reading reluctantly and at the end of it agreed to do the Sedona Intensive. I was in Sedona January 5-12 of 1992 and did my daily exercises and then continued with the program for 3 months upon returning home. By following Albert’s directions, even when some of it made no logical sense, my life was changed dramatically for the better over the next year. He put me on a path that I never could have imagined and I will be forever grateful for that. This eventually led to my current profession, beginning in 2005, as a life coach assisting clients in making big changes in their lives. The time and money spent with Albert all those years ago is the best investment that I have ever made and gave me insights and tools that I still use today.”

Monthly Insights for the Signs
Fire Signs
ARIES (March 21 – April 19)–Maybe you’ll catch a break with your ruling planet Mars in Aries until November 14. Retrograde will ease some of the mania and aggressive behavior. Mars in direct motion always brings oftentimes selfish thoughts and attitudes that do you little good in the long run. Meditate more and keep your yapper shut except to eat. Aries are also getting the slow-moving planets Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn—not a good combo for you Rams.
LEO (July 23 – August 22)–You big boy lions and girl lionesses, better learn to love your own company because the Sun in Scorpio until the third week in November is not going to do you any favors. You are going to feel like the kid in school that no one wanted to eat lunch or fish on the dock of the bay with. Pretend you are back in school and you have to cram for the big test of life. For pity’s sake do not sulk or call attention to your moody blues.
SAGITTARIUS (November 22 – December 21)–There is no birth sign that can draw from his or her deep wells in understanding quite like you Archers. Okay, okay, so your ruling planet Jupiter is in Capricorn for a while longer. This means you will draw from all that you learned about yourself and the world at large when Jupiter was in Sagittarius for a year. In the times of pandemic, you will more than ever have to lean on your own work and what you learned to survive to thrive.
Earth Signs
TAURUS (April 20 – May 20)–Uranus continues retrograde in the Sign of the Bull. It is making you usually quiet and internalized types crawl out of your comfort zone. I also find you more times than not sitting in a hot seat. Patience is often your middle name, so go into that prime quality to calm yourself down. Soon you will find out it is the rough patches that teach, as well as benefit, us the most. Put quiet time in your daily diet and watch the confusion give way to acceptance.
VIRGO (August 23 – September 22)–With your ruling planet Mercury retrograde until November 3 you best make do with the hand life has dealt you. When Mercury goes into Scorpio on November 11 you will have an easier time of it. The biggest bugaboo for you will be dealing with Neptune in Pisces opposing you for many more months. The last thing you want to do is try to figure things out. Life is about revelation and not figuring, even for a Virgo.
CAPRICORN (December 22 – January 19)–With Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn for a while longer you have your work cut out for yourself. The good news is that with all three planets retrograde this Solar Cycle, you will have a reprieve from all the hard lifting that is in the description of you Goats. The Full Moon on October 31 at 8 degrees of Taurus will be a great help.
Air Signs
GEMINI (May 21 – June 20)–Anytime Mercury is retrograde—no matter the sign—it is a signal for you to talk less and listen more to someone who does not have skin in the game. The good news from the Solar Cycle this past month has been your compatible friend Libra. Mercury goes direct on November 3—so whatever you do or don’t do, make sure you vote. A note from the Sky Chiefs is to also keep your credit card in your back pocket and let someone else treat. As a purveyor of the planetary movement, you Twins have been doing alright for a while now. Keep connected to your Higher Self and your life will continue to be great.
LIBRA (September 23 – October 22)–The strong point in your favor this Solar Cycle will be Venus in Libra. And I must say that the devolving conditions of the Planet Earth—especially in the United States of America—will give you a leg up with Venus. We just came out of Sun in Libra for 31 days. And now Venus in Libra continues to do you a lot of good. Libra is known as the Peace Maker, and do we ever need peace on earth and goodwill to all men, women and children.
AQUARIUS (January 20 – February 18)–Your ruling planet Uranus in Taurus for a while longer will seem to deny and delay your plans for some time. Although you have had the cosmic connection last month when the Sun was in Libra, now the Sun in Scorpio is once again dogging you. However, there is a spiritual principle that one grows more ethically in trying times than in times of good fortune. Aquarians always seem to thrive in spite of any indicators.
Water Signs
CANCER (June 21 – July 22)–Let’s start with the basics for you Moon Dukes and Duchesses. Sun in Scorpio is a boon for your next 31 days. Although the Sun in Scorpio this Solar Cycle is quiet and not to be messed with, you Cancer types like to yap even when you are not being asked a question. However, you are the most loving and caring Sign of the Zodiac. Mars in Aries can wreck your solitude, but because it is in retrograde the damage will be minor. Don’t forget to knit: knit one, purl two.
SCORPIO (October 23 – November 21)–Since the Sun will be in Scorpio for 31 days you can twist and shout and have most things fall your way. Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn will also stack the deck in your favor. Beware of the Full Moon at 8 degrees of Taurus on October 31. Yes, that is Halloween so stay clear of all witches and goblins and anyone lurking in the shadows. All in all count all your blessings, name them one by one.
PISCES (February 19 – March 20)–With your ruling planet Neptune in Pisces, you will continue to benefit as well as endure from the negative aspects of Neptune: alcoholism, delusion as well as never having enough of the green stuff to get by. Pisces are simply better at the higher octaves of loving and caring and sharing when they have their act together. With the Sun in Scorpio—a Fixed Sign to Pisces’ Mutable Sign—this month you should be able to have a very serene and feet-on-the-ground month. Stay clean and clear at all costs.

Featured Artist of the Month
Reagan Word
Although trained as an architect, Reagan Word’s passion has always been art- painting, sculpting, and writing. His 20-year career doing architectural renderings helped shape his career as an artist. Recently he was commissioned by the City of Sedona to create two monumental sculptures for the Sedona uptown roundabouts. The sculptures were installed on August 31st, 2020. The explanation below will be on a plaque installed near the Jordan Road roundabout:
In American Indian culture eagle dancers dance for rain and blessings. In Uptown Sedona we have two eagle dancer sculptures by Reagan Word. Eagle Dancer~North is listening to spirit, depicted as a descending flight of birds. She directs these inspirations to Eagle Dancer~South, who sends prayers aloft. Spirit answers showering blessings below. The gabions and panels that accompany the sculptures symbolize the earth and water that receive this nourishment for our beautiful community. Let us remember that we are each part of the balance of nature, giving and receiving as stewards of the earth.
“On New Years day, 2017 my wife and I hiked into a remote red rock canyon where we were thrilled to witness a murmuration, a flight of thousands of starlings dancing in a synchronized aerial ballet. That unforgettable experience inspired the Eagle Dancer Sculptures, which are a unique blend of eagle dancing and murmuration.” ~ Reagan Word

Moments and Windstorms: Take Back Your Power
This ground-breaking book offers an in-depth journey through the author’s eye-opening addiction to alcohol and how he eventually got sober. Gaulden has written a number of books as well as being Founding Director of the Sedona Intensive, one of the country’s most highly regarded alternative personal growth programs.
The author shares all the ways God was leading and guiding him even when he was still drinking. “Most of us look at false paradigms to measure success in our lives. So much of where I went and the jobs I took helped me remember what I was to do as my life’s work.”
Gaulden’s book is divided into five parts. Each section explores different parts of his journey, incorporating all the places he’s been, the studies he’s made and the people he’s met. His point of view is that each client who sought his help made him a better person. At the end of the book, he has some daunting but hopeful words about the conditions of the planet Earth and what we need to do to survive as a race.

What Our Clients Are Saying About The Sedona Intensive
“The Sedona Intensive was a life changing experience for me. I had been searching for happiness and serenity for over 20 years and as a result of the Intensive I found that I was looking in all the wrong places. I not only experienced what happiness and serenity truly are but now understand the process needed to maintain and enhance that state of being. It doesn’t mean that I don’t experience the ups and downs of life but what it does mean is that those downs do not even come close to impacting me the way they used to. There is now a presence of mind that provides clarity and purpose that did not exist for me prior to the Intensive.
It is impossible to put a value on such a quality of life enhancing experience that the Sedona Intensive provides the person willing to do the work.It is by far the most significant thing I have done in my 62 years.
I came across a quote last week that summed up what I experienced and learned while attending the Sedona Intensive – ‘Once you stop clinging and let things be, you’ll be free’ -Bodhidharma (440ce – 528 ce), the Zen Teaching of Bodhidharma: A Bilingual Edition.”
