The Signs of the Time –Sensual Taurus season begins on Tuesday, April 19, and yes, that is the day before 4/20. Taurus is a luxurious earth sign ruled by Venus, the planet of love, money, and abundance. The next few weeks are ideal for self-care, delicious snacks, and sleep. Remember, you have to rest to be productive. Finally, the month comes to a dramatic close thanks to a new moon and solar eclipse in Taurus on Saturday, April 30. Astrologers call eclipses “cosmic wildcards” because they can bring swift and sudden change. The best investment that I have ever made…
“I met Albert in late 1991 when my life was a mess and I did not know what to do. I went for an astrology reading reluctantly and at the end of it agreed to do the Sedona Intensive. I was in Sedona January 5-12 of 1992 and did my daily exercises and then continued with the program for 3 months upon returning home. By following Albert’s directions, even when some of it made no logical sense, my life was changed dramatically for the better over the next year. He put me on a path that I never could have imagined and I will be forever grateful for that. This eventually led to my current profession, beginning in 2005, as a life coach assisting clients in making big changes in their lives. The time and money spent with Albert all those years ago is the best investment that I have ever made and gave me insights and tools that I still use today.”

Monthly Insights for the Signs
Fire Signs
ARIES (March 21 – April 19)–I know, Aries, it’s tragic. Your season ends this month, and you have to pass the torch to earth sign Taurus. But don’t worry; when Venus, the goddess of abundance, enters dreamy Pisces, the stars want you to make some money, so there is plenty to celebrate. And, if anyone owes you money, when your ruling planet, warrior Mars, also enters Pisces, you’re ready to stick up for yourself. And, on a sexier note, a full moon in Libra brings epic sex and romance your way.
LEO (July 23 – August 22)–You love attention, Leo, and basking in the spotlight. You’re ruled by the sun, after all. But lions also need cat naps. April brings your health into focus, but there’s no cause for alarm. You likely just need to catch up on sleep, work on reducing your stress levels, and remind yourself that no one will forget about you if you take a three-day social media break.
SAGITTARIUS (November 22 – December 21)–Oh no, Sagittarius, your charisma is so out of this world during April that you might actually be dangerous. On top of being a notorious heartbreaker, you are the only sign to wield a weapon. April asks you to use your charm to have intimidating conversations with crushes and partners, such as what kinks and fantasies you’re into (or not; vanilla is basically a kink these days). Just remember to fill them in on your need for independence while you’re at it.
Earth Signs
TAURUS (April 20 – May 20)–What’s your favorite flavor of cake, Taurus? It’s your solar return this month, so start planning a Taurus season birthday party ASAP. You’re ruling planet is Venus, which means that you know how to appreciate the finer things in life (like cake). You’re also one to enjoy pleasure, which works out great because when Pluto goes retrograde, there’s no reason to be afraid. You’re in for an epic sex life transformation to make your fantasies come to life.
VIRGO (August 23 – September 22)–You have a kinky side, Virgo, and everyone knows it. During April, you remember that sex isn’t all about getting off. It’s a way to connect with your partner and even work through trauma, so you find yourself enjoying sex in brand new ways. A full moon in Libra mid-moth has the potential to level up your professional life, but only if you can keep your cool under the stress of this lunation.
CAPRICORN (December 22 – January 19)–The expression “still waters run deep” describes you beautifully, Capricorn. As a grounded earth sign, you always appear to be doing well, and you usually are! But that doesn’t mean that you don’t have feelings. Repressing them, however, can create roadblocks in your relationships. When Taurus season begins, you’re down for deep and philosophical conversations. And, when Pluto, the planet of makeovers, goes retrograde, your mission is to have fun and be happy. Are you up for it, sea-goat?
Air Signs
GEMINI (May 21 – June 20)–You have to talk about a topic even more taboo than sex this month, Gemini, and that’s money. So whether you work out shared finances with a partner, ask for a raise, or negotiate rent, expect financial conversations to go down. The theme of money continues when luxurious Taurus season begins, so make a budget, speak to a financial advisor, and get ready for abundance. Keep an eye on the dramatic solar eclipse at the end of the month because money news may suddenly materialize.
LIBRA (September 23 – October 22)–Get excited for spring outfits, lovely Libra. When your ruling planet, romantic Venus, enters caring Pisces, you find that ongoing petty fights within your love life finally end. You like to keep the peace because you’re the sign of justice and balance. But, unfortunately, with this can come avoidance. So while you’re tying up loose ends in your love life, don’t forget to go ahead and state your boundaries, and be brave enough to talk about important topics such as STI screening, as your health also comes into focus this month.
AQUARIUS (January 20 – February 18)–April gives your sex life a makeover, Aquarius. Well, not so much a makeover, but the stars bless you with the courage to live authentically, especially in the bedroom. Your social life outside the bedroom also lights up this month. Expect invitations to cool parties and professional recognition. But, don’t worry, Aquarius, as the alien of the zodiac, you’re allowed to wear something weird and talk about humanitarian issues or occult topics while everyone else is just trying to enjoy their drinks.
Water Signs
CANCER (June 21 – July 22)–Communication flows like water within your love life, darling Cancer. However, the stars remind you to stick up for your needs in other areas of your life, such as your work life. If you need more mental health days or are experiencing burnout, it’s essential to set boundaries. Pluto, the planet of transformation, goes retrograde for five months, starting in April. When its over, your love life will be better than ever, so those communication skills actually work. Oh, and get out of town or enjoy a staycation if you can at the end of April during a chaotic solar eclipse.
SCORPIO (October 23 – November 21)–While Scorpios are usually associated with Halloween and cemetery photo shoots, the start of spring sees you playing with pastels and reminding everyone that you contain multitudes. Even if you dislike the goth- aesthetic, you may be feeling slightly melancholy lately, but it’s only because you’ve been overworking yourself. A full moon in Libra mid-month reminds you of the importance of sleep and self-care.
PISCES (February 19 – March 20)–April sees you having good times with friends, Pisces. Remember, even if you love your job and have the best romantic partner in the world, your friends are crucial ground support. Both sexy Mars and sensual Venus enter your sign this month, so you can assume that you’ll enjoy splendid times with lovers and friends. Just beware of fights during the eclipse at the end of the month.
Simple Serenity: Finding Joy in Your Life
by Nancy Oelklaus
Nancy Oelklaus’ doctorate is in educational administration, and she is in her fourth career: first, high school English teacher, then school district administrator, then director of Texas’ nonprofit educational curriculum organization, then executive leadership coach. Now she is a writer who has just released her third book, Simple Serenity: Finding Joy in Your Life.
With references to the vortex energy of Sedona, Oelklaus emphasizes that the red rocks amplify the energy people bring into a place. Understanding how to work with one’s own personal energy, regardless of geography, and use it for good, is the heart of the book.
Here’s what Australian psychologist Bob Rich, author of From Depression to Contentment, says about Simple Serenity:
“I edited this book for the publisher, Loving Healing Press. Everything within it is the wisdom of the ages, and everything within it has been demonstrated as effective through research on positive psychology.”
How My Journey Began
“I have been receiving the Sedona Intensive Newsletter for many years. I was inspired by the astrological information. I never really delve into what programs were offered. I thought it was a spa in the painted desert where you could spend a week to relax and rejuvenate. I remember when I first subscribed to the newsletter, I had mentioned it to my husband and said maybe when we have some time, we could look into going there for a vacation. Little did I know what was in store for me on that Tuesday morning in December 2020 when I decided to dial the phone number listed on the newsletter to find out what the program was about and whether it would benefit me.
“Quite honestly, I was surprised when Mr. Albert Gaulden answered the phone! Surely this man has a receptionist, I thought to myself. But it was him. I, nervous – I almost hung up. Here I was talking to the man of Sedona! I was a bit intimidated at first, but after our first session, he truly put me at ease. I told him my recent story about the loss of my husband and the way I had soothed the pain of grief through alcohol. As we talked, I knew I needed to be part of this program. Albert is a straight forward, no bullshit kind of man. You either like what he has to say or you don’t. And if you don’t, he’ll tell you to go pound sand! But in a not so nice way. Albert is so passionate about the work he does and takes a true interest in each client. The homework is brutal but I have learned so much about myself and why I have experienced everything I’ve been through in my life and how it brought me to where I am today.
“One must have an open mind and be willing to hear the tough talk. There was tough talk. There was difficult self-reflection. But this program is not for sissies. You’re either going to commit – or you’re not. And if you don’t commit – this is not the program for you. It is an emotional experience with a great deal of self-reflection. This program didn’t just guide me through understanding my alcohol addiction, but it has been more beneficial in helping me deal with the overwhelming grief I have experienced over the last 2 years after the death of my husband. I am whole again.”

Moments and Windstorms: Take Back Your Power
This ground-breaking book offers an in-depth journey through the author’s eye-opening addiction to alcohol and how he eventually got sober. Gaulden has written a number of books as well as being Founding Director of the Sedona Intensive, one of the country’s most highly regarded alternative personal growth programs.
The author shares all the ways God was leading and guiding him even when he was still drinking. “Most of us look at false paradigms to measure success in our lives. So much of where I went and the jobs I took helped me remember what I was to do as my life’s work.”
Gaulden’s book is divided into five parts. Each section explores different parts of his journey, incorporating all the places he’s been, the studies he’s made and the people he’s met. His point of view is that each client who sought his help made him a better person. At the end of the book, he has some daunting but hopeful words about the conditions of the planet Earth and what we need to do to survive as a race.

What Our Clients Are Saying About The Sedona Intensive
“The Sedona Intensive was a life changing experience for me. I had been searching for happiness and serenity for over 20 years and as a result of the Intensive I found that I was looking in all the wrong places. I not only experienced what happiness and serenity truly are but now understand the process needed to maintain and enhance that state of being. It doesn’t mean that I don’t experience the ups and downs of life but what it does mean is that those downs do not even come close to impacting me the way they used to. There is now a presence of mind that provides clarity and purpose that did not exist for me prior to the Intensive.
It is impossible to put a value on such a quality of life enhancing experience that the Sedona Intensive provides the person willing to do the work.It is by far the most significant thing I have done in my 62 years.
I came across a quote last week that summed up what I experienced and learned while attending the Sedona Intensive – ‘Once you stop clinging and let things be, you’ll be free’ -Bodhidharma (440ce – 528 ce), the Zen Teaching of Bodhidharma: A Bilingual Edition.”
