The Signs of the Time–The Sun goes into Sagittarius on November 22nd, Thanksgiving at 7:30 PM EST. On November 17th Mercury went retrograde at 17 degrees of Sagittarius. Venus went direct on November 16th at 25 degrees of Libra. Venus will go into Scorpio on December 3rd. Also on November 16th Mars went into Pisces. On November 25th Neptune goes direct at 13 degrees of Pisces.
Mercury will go direct on December 7th at 25 degrees of Scorpio. There is so much going on in the Celestial Heavens that we all must stay committed to our own personal work and down time. These are trying times in so many areas of our world. Watch global markets begin a downward spiral. Keep liquid now and for the foreseeable future. Uranus continues retrograde in Aries through the rest of the year.
It is also time to offer up some hope and good tidings. So many call or write to talk about the election as well as some of the nonsense coming from certain segments of religion. There is a God and He/She/It is in charge, not some flawed human being. Religion is a personal matter and I suggest you find a pew in a church you feel safe with. There are a lot of Egotists who go to any length to usurp power and use it for their own self-aggrandizement. Most of all take care of yourself and don’t become too over-wrought with things over which you are powerless.
Fire Signs
ARIES (March 20 – April 18)–A lot of good fortune comes your way this Solar Cycle. Uranus is in Aries again so get ready to move on something that has more proof in the pudding. Jupiter in Sagittarius for one year is going to be the best ally and news you’ve heard in a long, long time. Since Aries is the Mother/Father of invention get ready to go wherever the carefully-laid plans will take you. And December 13th Mercury will be in Sagittarius through the end of the year, so you have another wrinkle in time to make you richer and happier. Watch your steps.
LEO (July 21 – August 21)–You can hoop and holler this month with all the Sagittarius action as well as Uranus in Aries. You may want to tone down the need to shine though every time you enter a room. Your biggest Zodiac ally this month of course is the Sun in Sagittarius. Enjoy it while you can because Capricorn won’t be as likeable or loveable for you. You might want to cool spending as the Stock Market is about to go through a correction your debt level can’t stand. Rein it in, Lions and Lionesses.
SAGITTARIUS (November 22 – December 20)–You will have a tendency to cling to Jupiter in Sagittarius like it is a Holy Grail. Jupiter went into Sag on November 8th. Yes, it is your ruling planet and it will be in the sign of the Archer for one year. It is not a time to act crazy and pile up debt or be too risky in other areas of your life. You will have a lot of the luck of the Irish with you for awhile. I foolishly told a Sagittarian lady that her sign ruled the Spiritual and Religious Upper World and she started walking around town in a white sheet with a gold cross on her back. Keep your even-keel and stay humble.
Earth Signs
TAURUS (April 19 – May 19)–You might feel left out of the order of the universe this Solar Cycle. Nothing seems to gel for you so you might want to take a back seat this month. One of my old teachers suggested one keep a copious journal during transits like these that do not align with Venus-ruled Taurus. Writing your thoughts and reviewing what happens this 30 day period can be extremely edifying for Taurus’. Meditation and yoga are also suggested. The mistake a lot of us make is to try to push the river which is nonsense and illogical. Stay put. Connect with your Inner Voice of Discernment at this time.
VIRGO (August 22 – September 21)–Your ruling planet Mercury in Sagittarius will do you no favors so whatever you do, stay off the wild side of the street. Mars in Pisces could also rattle your cage and give you an inferiority complex. However, there is a surprise for you around the 15th of December. It feels like a trip or surprise gift. Someone is doing early Christmas shopping for you. Your go to emotion is worry and fret. Give it a rest and do with what life hands you this Solar Cycle. You might be thrilled with what you get.
CAPRICORN (December 21 – January 18)–You have so much help from a lot of planets in Signs to get you wherever you are trying to go. Mars and Pluto are in Capricorn. These planets in these signs can cut you a wide swath in the jungle around you. Mars and Neptune in Pisces will give you a lot of creativity and intuition to make the right moves. Venus in Scorpio will fill your coffers to complete the tasks you began a long time ago. The only foil this month will come from sudden upsets from Uranus in Aries. Keep your equilibrium in tact this month.
Air Signs
GEMINI (May 20 – June 19)–You Twins get a chance to talk out of one side of your mouth at a time this Solar Cycle. With your ruler Mercury retrograde until December 7 you may want to keep a lower profile until then. When Mercury moves into Sagittarius on December 7 you get the opportunity to be a bit freer as well as to embrace a newer version of you. Mars in Pisces may cause you more than a little anxiety because this high voltage will square you throughout the rest of the year. What you need to remember at all times is that you owe nothing to no one except you. Please you and the right types will respond nicely.
LIBRA (September 22 – October 21)–When your ruler Venus went direct in motion on November 16th it did you a lot of favors. You can ride the high horse until December 3rd when Venus moves into Scorpio. However, the Full Moon at 00 degrees of Gemini on Thanksgiving Day and the New Moon December 6 at 15 degrees of Sagittarius will all kick into gear with some positive energy for you. What lingers is a relationship whose time has come and gone a long time ago. Don’t hold on any longer. Live freer and more pleased with you.
AQUARIUS (January 19 – February 17)–The best you Water Bearers can hope for this Solar Cycle is Mercury in Sagittarius from December 13, and Jupiter in Sagittarius which is a Sign compatible with Aquarius. Also Aquarius’ ruling planet, Uranus in Aries, will click well with Aquarians as well. The problem with all this compatibility is that you Aquarians could get lost in the shuffle. Sagittarians love to run the show and blow and go anywhere their fancy can dream up. Aquarius on the other hand like to go with where their dreams take them to do the greatest good for the larger numbers.
Water Signs
CANCER (June 20 – July 20)–The New and Full Moons are doing you no favors this month. Deal with it like you always do–tend to your own business and let everyone else do the same. However, you will benefit from Venus in Scorpio beginning December 3. Mars and Neptune in Pisces will also align with your mood swings. The one thing to stand on for you is bring ‘em to the table and let them eat it or leave it. You are innately generous to a fault. You have enough celestial cooperation to last through to the New Year. Count your blessings and keep your family and friends closer.
SCORPIO (October 22 – November 21)–Your best shot at a long run of good times happens on December 3rd when Venus sidles into Scorpio. You will also feel high energy with Mars in Pisces because of the compatibility between you and the Fishes. Neptune will also add some good stuff to the mix for you all month. And never ever forget that your ruling planet, Pluto, is in great alignment with you all month. Actually it will be in sync with you for several more months. You are the one Sign of the Zodiac that can get down on yourself big time. This is the time of year to twist and shout for all of God’s grace and goodness coming your way.
PISCES (February 18 – March 19)–Since Jupiter is your co-ruling planet it seems as if the year that Jupiter is in Sagittarius you have an open to buy any notion presented. That’s not the case. Mars in Pisces could be a bit prickly. Your real challenge is to see what you continue to do with your ruling planet, Neptune, now back in Pisces for awhile longer. Don’t forget that Neptune can be the great deceiver and Pisces can slip back into old addictions and compulsions that almost destroyed his life. Lay back a bit more than jump too quickly when it is someone else’s idea.
Birmingham Holocaust Education Center Fund Raiser
Although I am not officially Jewish I am a devotee of the Holocaust Center in Birmingham, Alabama. My dear friend Cathy Ovson Friedman made me aware of BHEC and I decided I wanted to make friends of the Sedona Intensive aware of their unbelievably deep and abiding work for the Center.
I encourage everyone to support this Center’s efforts to educate everyone about the work being done to make sure that through awareness of the horrors of the Holocaust the world will never have to survive such atrocities again.
The Sedona Intensive is making a donation to BHEC for $1,000.00. Please join us in making a contribution as well.
Love and Gratitude, Albert Gaulden
More from their website: The Birmingham Holocaust Education Center (BHEC) seeks to educate the people of Alabama about the history of the Holocaust so that new generations will apply the lessons of the Holocaust to the construction of a more just, humane, and tolerant future. By preserving and sharing the stories of local Holocaust survivors and commemorating the events of the Holocaust and the lives of those who perished, the BHEC seeks to promote a moral and ethical response to prejudice, hatred, and indifference for the benefit of all humanity.

NEW BOOK by Albert Clayton Gaulden
Moments and Windstorms: Take Back Your Power
This ground-breaking book offers an in-depth journey through the author’s eye-opening addiction to alcohol and how he eventually got sober. Gaulden has written a number of books as well as being Founding Director of the Sedona Intensive, one of the country’s most highly regarded alternative personal growth programs.
The author shares all the ways God was leading and guiding him even when he was still drinking. “Most of us look at false paradigms to measure success in our lives. So much of where I went and the jobs I took helped me remember what I was to do as my life’s work.”
Gaulden’s book is divided into five parts. Each section explores different parts of his journey, incorporating all the places he’s been, the studies he’s made and the people he’s met. His point of view is that each client who sought his help made him a better person. At the end of the book, he has some daunting but hopeful words about the conditions of the planet Earth and what we need to do to survive as a race.

Couples Who Went to the Extreme to Save Their Marriage
An interview with Carl and Joyce Gioia in RedBook Magazine
When Joyce Gioia couldn’t think of anything else to save her marriage and solve the trust issues that were tearing her and her husband, Carl, apart, she decided to make an investment into what she hoped could be a life-long, loving marriage. They packed their bags and headed to the Sedona Intensive: A $16,000 week-long intensive therapy session that helps people release all self-destructive behaviors.
The purpose of this particular therapy was to help them become stronger individuals, and the counseling was never couple-based. In fact, they only saw each other once per morning at 7 a.m. when they attended a 12-step meeting. The meetings addressed addictions—but it had nothing to do with substance abuse—it was focused on things like work addictions and co-dependence issues.
Between the supervised journaling, visits with renowned mental health professionals, and their genuine will to make things work, Carl and Joyce were able to recover their relationship.
“I believed that the nature and the intensity of this self-learning experience would help us move beyond the impasse that was preventing a resolution in our marriage,” Joyce said. And she was right. By looking at each other as total individuals, they were able to discover what was most important to their spouse and cater to those specific needs. Two years have passed and they’re more in love than ever.
Q & A
RedBook – Explain what the Sedona intensive is.
The Sedona Intensive is a rigorous, weeklong self-exploration. During the week, through concentrated journaling and visits with mental and physical health professionals, we each invested a lot of effort and energy in self-discovery. This self-learning experience is designed and managed by well-respected psychologist Albert Gaulden and includes daily meeting with Albert to monitor progress and ensure results.
RedBook – How did you find out about it?
My brother, who is a nationally acclaimed Emergency Department physician, had gone through this experience with his wife Amber and highly recommended it to us.
RedBook – What did you do at the Sedona intensive?
Every day, we began by attending a 12-Step Meeting with AA. Then, we had a rotating schedule of appointments with a psychologist, a psychiatrist, a yoga instructor, and/or an energy-balancing professional, and of course, Albert. In our “spare” time, we took independent hikes, though the spectacular Sedona canyons.
RedBook – What made you decide to go to this?
We decided to do it, because nothing else seemed to be working to resolve our trust issues. I believed that the nature and intensity of this self-learning experience would help us move beyond the impasse that was preventing resolution of our marriage.
RedBook – How did it change your relationship?
We both worked very hard to discover why we engaged in self-destructive behaviors that stood in the way of our sharing the loving relationship we both thought possible. Two years later, we are more in love than ever before.
RedBook – Would you recommend it to others?
Yes, absolutely, if the two people are prepared to approach the experience with open hearts and minds and they are truly interested in doing the work to strengthen the relationship.
Lindsay, as I said before, “I honestly do not know what else we might have done that would have been so effective in turning the relationship around”.
Joyce Gioia

What Our Clients Are Saying About The Sedona Intensive
“The Sedona Intensive was a life changing experience for me. I had been searching for happiness and serenity for over 20 years and as a result of the Intensive I found that I was looking in all the wrong places. I not only experienced what happiness and serenity truly are but now understand the process needed to maintain and enhance that state of being. It doesn’t mean that I don’t experience the ups and downs of life but what it does mean is that those downs do not even come close to impacting me the way they used to. There is now a presence of mind that provides clarity and purpose that did not exist for me prior to the Intensive.
It is impossible to put a value on such a quality of life enhancing experience that the Sedona Intensive provides the person willing to do the work.It is by far the most significant thing I have done in my 62 years.
I came across a quote last week that summed up what I experienced and learned while attending the Sedona Intensive – ‘Once you stop clinging and let things be, you’ll be free’ -Bodhidharma (440ce – 528 ce), the Zen Teaching of Bodhidharma: A Bilingual Edition.”
