Every time the Sun goes into Libra I silently whisper, “Thank you God,” because from late September until October 22nd we all get to be more even-handed and fair-minded because if we don’t someone will come along to bite the hand that feeds them. Libra tells us to look at both sides of an issue and then put it to a vote. I would like to see all the Tea Party people come to the table and stop the rhetoric of division and destruction and find solutions rather than continue to be a jabberwocky of senseless nonsense. We will all have our chance to right the furniture and find the silver living in the firmament when Jupiter goes direct on October 12th at 17 degrees of Aquarius.

Mercury will go direct on September 30th—Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Say what you will about all the lessons we can learn with the review Mercury retrograde is here to teach us, but for me and my gray matter, I am looking for the benefits of Jupiter.

There is a Harvest Full Moon on Saturday, October 3rd at 11 degrees of Aries—which means that Fire Signs and Air Signs will benefit greatly. There will be a New Moon on Saturday, October 17th at 24 degrees of Libra, which again will benefit all Fire and Air Signs. A close friend of mine is getting married on October 3rd so the benefit of the Full Moon to him and his bride not only says the wait is over but the new life for them begins.

For the early birds, Saturn is going to move into the sign of Libra on October 12th, which will give mutable signs, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces and Gemini a break from the tough lessons Libra brings to us.

For those of you in a trial and error partnerships, whether a marriage, a love affair or a business alliance, this 30-day cycle is a “make or break” time. What needs to be finished will be and what can flourish will.

FIRE SIGNS

ARIES (March 20 – April 19) One of the basic rules of astrology is that when the personal planets are opposing you like they are this month you can either tap your foot or shake your leg in the waiting room. Or you can take a deep breath and go for it if you have carefully constructed a better mousetrap. No matter what is your condition, an Aries never exhibits patience or waits their turn. The world has grown tired of all the pie in the sky shenanigans that idea men like you have thrown at them with resentments to follow. If you have to make your move, wait until the first of October when Mercury is out of retrograde.

LEO (July 22 – August 22) Nobody enters a room in full sail quite like a Leo and this month you can dress it up because you will be on parade. The New and Full Moons are a huge plus for you. You may want to be cautious with spending with Jupiter opposing you in the sign of Aquarius. For those of you considering changing jobs or trading in the daily grind for your passion, now is the time to strike out for greener pastures. If there has been a positive to come out of the economic meltdown last year it is that life is too short to stay in a game you don’t like. Go for it!

SAGITTARIUS (November 22 – December 20) When your ruler, Jupiter goes direct in motion October 12 you are going to feel that you died and came back a man or woman on a mission. The tide is turning enough to sweep you back on course with the roadmap you have been plotting for awhile. Expect the unexpected is your middle name but this time there will be no unforeseen skeletons that will fall from the closet or an unpaid debt that came knocking on your door. For the first time in a long time, you don’t have a lot of secrets or anything to hide. When they call your name, say, “Here I am, ready, willing and able.” Have fun.

EARTH SIGNS

TAURUS (April 20 – May 20) If the mirror on the wall is telling you that you are looking a tad bit like porky pig, it is because Jupiter has been squaring you all year. You should have switched to fruits and vegetables while Jupiter was retrograde—unfortunately for you bulls, Jupiter will be direct in motion October 13th. This aspect can spell trouble for your personal relationships as well as your finances. A good suggestion would be to hit the gym and lay off credit spending. If there is someone in your life making double trouble, take a time out and chill. You’ll have better aspects in November.

VIRGO (August 23 – September 22) You only have a month to go before the Lord of Karma Saturn moves out of your Sun Sign. It would be a good idea to take an inventory to see what you lost, what you let go of and what seems to be a keeper. Taking stock of tough times gives you keen insight into a deeper and more honest assessment of what you created that no longer works for you. There is a saying in astro circles that the best times of your life are when the affliction from Saturn ends. But always remember that your natural tendency is to be picky, critical and analytical. Tell yourself that you are not your mind. Make it a servant to God’s will for your life.

CAPRICORN (December 21 – January 19) You might want to revisit an old biblical story about where some folks built their house. One built his on sand and when the wind came, the house was blown away. The man who built his house on solid ground knew that it would withstand all elements—no matter what came his way, his house would still be standing. Check your foundation and make sure you built on terra firma because you will be sorely tested this month. If you have been reluctant to jump back in the Stock Market, wait awhile longer. This is not your best Solar Cycle, so stand pat.

AIR SIGNS

GEMINI (May 21 – June 20) The rest of the Zodiac is going to be green with envy with all your fortuitous aspects again this month. The trines from Libra will bless you in a special relationship and an exotic getaway with your main man or lady. You are also going to have a favorable flow when Saturn goes into Libra—like settling down with the one you love. Uranus is still squaring so be warned not to jump into action with every idea that floats through the chambers of your mind. The New and Full Moon are also going to bless you and the best-laid plans you have been hatching this year.

LIBRA (September 23 – October 22) The best news you might get the rest of the year is that your main squeeze may have no more juice left—so let him or her go and see what a time out brings you later. No one can surrender their Ego quicker or snatch it back faster than a Libra. What this Solar Cycle is teaching all of your Scales of Justice types is that everything that has a beginning has an ending. For some of you, the end of the affair has been coming to a head longer than either of you have wanted to admit. December will be a more productive month all around.

AQUARIUS (January 20 – February 17) Keep your motor running but do not jam it into “Drive” because Jupiter is retrograde in Aquarius. After October 12th you can continue with your carefully-laid plans. No one can think of the other man quite like you—always receive to share with others. A project or work opportunity that has been stalled will pick up around the middle of October. Whatever you do, do not abandon something whose time was premature. There is a time and season for all matters and your time is very close. Invest in a new computer. You are going to need one badly.

WATER SIGNS 

CANCER (June 21 – July 21) Just when you think the bank is about to repo your car or house—and your money well has run dry—you will have an 11th hour reprieve from what looks like total disaster. You Cancers are known to plan better than most and you hardly ever get into situations with hair-brained ideas, so just be patient. You may have to refinance or ask for more time but you are not about to be homeless or relegated to walking. Mercury in retrograde has you in a bind, but keep the faith that you are famous for. God has a plan; count on it.

SCORPIO (October 23 – November 21) If you Scorpios have been feeling like ‘it’s not what you’re eating it’s what’s been eating at you,’ step out of line and see what you can do for yourself. I know that the great unwashed who know a thimble-full about astrology, but pronounce like the authorities they aren’t, are always telling you that you are selfish and self-centered. Counter with the fact that you know what you want and you go full speed until you cross the finish line. Unfortunately others have needed your time and space. It is going to change at the end of October.

PISCES (February 18 – March 19) Now that you have gotten over your innate tendency to fantasize and avoid reality, this month is going to be a real test for you. Let’s see if you can take some of those hard-earned strategies and have them pay off. If you have been trying to change jobs, go for it after Mercury goes direct on September 30th. If you have wanted to make your business grow, this is the time to begin to see some movement in that direction. But don’t forget to take with you wherever you go the qualities that make you who you are: compassion and humility. And the dynamite blast from Uranus in Pisces will help you with your new projects.
