BABY STEPS TO ‘PEACE-OF-MIND’ FINANCIAL MENTAL HEALTH

  • 1) Begin to pay off all revolving credit cards. House mortgage and car loans can be factored into monthly financial obligations.
  • 2) Put your “gotta have” desires on ice; wear what’s in the closet and eat out less.
  • 3) Begin today to tithe: 10% to the church or charity of your choice. This is a commitment to God that you are acknowledging him. The more you give the more you’ll enjoy what you have left.
  • 4) Be grateful for what you have. Gratitude can cure cancer and bad attitudes.
  • 5) Ask someone every day, “What can I do for you?”
  • 6) Watch little to no television, unless it is UGLY BETTY or DAMAGES. If you want to stay stuck living someone else’s life listen to what distorted talking heads have to say (Okay-watch Rachel Maddow-she’s terrific).
  • 7) Pray and meditate and remove toxic people from your life.

For the life of me I cannot find much positive inspiring news on the Internet. When did we become addicted to bad news? How long will it take us to return to joy and laugh out loud at ourselves and others for all the nonsense that we co-sign?

I’ll tell you what I am going to do to get my B-12 shot of living in the power of beingness: I am going to Egypt-up and down the Nile-to hug and share with the sweetest people on the planet. Nothing restores me like entering the crossroads between worlds which is precisely what Egypt is.
