AIG (American International Group) gets more billions from the Obama Stimulus Package than anyone else and the big pieces of stuff who run this sinking ship have the unmitigated gall to pay more than 70 employees bonuses of a million dollars or more. The CEO recently tried to defend his actions, “because it was written into their contracts that these employees would get the bonuses even though the company was bankrupt.”
This is the kind of chutzpah that caused the French to storm the palace and behead the royals in the public square which is known as the French Revolution. It is this kind of malfeasance that makes us all think that now we know how the Romans felt when Nero fiddled while their city was on fire. And it is this kind of nut case shenanigans that could cause Americans who have to pat the taxes that fund these unwarranted bonuses to riot.
My two cents says to give the President a few days to get the bonus money back. But I also recommend posting the photographs of these undeserving AIG scoundrels on television shows, aka a Wanted Poster, just like the Huffington Post showed my name, address and a sky map to my front door and how much I donated to the Obama Presidential Campaign. Let these men be hounded for benefiting while the rest of the world suffered. Perhaps one day if this kind of entitlement ends in these times of extreme financial reconstruction everyone will understand that there is no longer a gravy train; rather we are all going to have to rebuild brick-by-brick and stone-by-stone.
